KERUX

The newsletter of Pax Christi Metro New York

“Kerux” is the Greek word meaning “herald”. As the name of our newsletter, it reminds us that
we are to be heralds of God’s nonviolent love. We welcome letters, articles and reviews.

In addition to our quarterly newsletter, Kerux Live! offers immediate access to current news and feature articles.

Children of God, Victims of Greed: Human Trafficking

The extent of human trafficking is staggering. This article summarizes an evening of discussion hosted by Resurrection-Ascension Parish in Rego Park and Pax Christi Queens, that, thanks to the insightful knowledge of discussion moderator, Sr. Evelyn Lamoureux, DW, brought this third most lucrative illegal trade (surpassed only by drugs and arms dealing) to a new level of awareness to attendees.  Do you know the signs?  Please see page 5 for trafficking stats, signs, and what we can do about it.
