On Saturday, March 6th, we were very pleased to present Compassion on the Path to Peace: Parable of the Good Samaritan for Our Times, facilitated by Fr. Fred Thelen from Pax Christi Michigan and the PCUSA National Council. Fr. Thelen has a rich history of peace and justice work here in the U.S. and in Peru. His retreat reflected that impressive background and experience. The first half focused on Pope Francis’s latest encyclical, Fratelli Tutti, especially the section on the Good Samaritan. The second half moved us to our call to compassion with Dorothy Day as a model. You’ll be able to read more in our Spring issue of Kerux coming in mid-to-late April.
